Recital Fees

Be aware that recital fees (drafted March 15), tuition, and outstanding balances must be paid for students to perform.

Recital Volunteers

We are looking for FEMALE Volunteers for our shows! Inside the Parent Portal, you’ll be able to sign up for a time slot. If you are NOT a recital volunteer, you will not be permitted backstage for the safety of all students. No guests or family members will be allowed backstage. Sign up HERE! Makeup, Hair, & Costume

On picture day, dress rehearsal, and recital day, students will wear their complete costume, correct tights, NO panties, make-up, and correct hair-do, along with any headpiece or accessories that may have come with your costume (for girls). Boys should also be in full costume with all appropriate accessories.

Make-Up Recommendation: FOR LIPS- bright or pink or red lip stain. FOR CHEEKS- A mousse-type blush. A powder just won’t show up as well under lights. EYESHADOW- Apply dark, sparkles are best. MASCARA – for easier application, you may have your dancer lay down. BODY GLITTER is fine too!

** NO NAIL POLISH ON FINGERNAILS AND NO JEWELRY**

Picture Day

Individual portraits will take place during YOUR class day the week of May 22. Our photographer will come to the studio that week. On picture day, dancers will come to class dressed in FULL costume and make-up. This day will also serve as a great opportunity to have a costume run-through…this may potentially avoid any “costume disasters” on stage. ALL dancers must be in costume whether you are purchasing portraits or not. We will photograph each class AFTER at least a 30-40 min practice so please plan to stay after your class time for an additional 30 min or so. We will take their group picture first and will follow with individuals. We cannot afford to take pictures DURING class as we need every last available class practice possible. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility! 😊

Flowers and Gifts

It is customary to present your special dancer with flowers after the show. Sweet Southern Florals in La Vernia has special packages for gifts and/or flowers. They will be delivered right to the auditorium for your convenience. DEADLINE TO ORDER IS MAY 24th. You can see their bundles, pricing and deadline HERE.

T-Shirts

We’ve made it SOOO easy to order your recital t-shirt this year! Easy ordering and checkout process! Includes adult and child options. Shirts will be delivered to the studio, where you will be able to pick them up. We will let you know when they arrive. THE DEADLINE TO ORDER IS APRIL 30TH. ORDER HERE. Happy shopping!!

Attendance

As we wrap up teaching recital routines, we cannot stress enough how important it is that your child be present in EVERY dance class. Unless your child is sick, please be sure they are in attendance. We are teaching new steps every week, and our dancers do feel frustrated when they are behind. Our June recital will be here before you know it….so practice, practice, practice!
