Fall in Love with Dance
Welcome to the enchanting world of Lyrical dance at Studio C! Lyrical is a captivating style that combines the grace and technique of ballet with the expressiveness and fluidity of jazz. In this class, dancers will embark on a journey of creating beautiful movements that tell a story.
Lyrical dance is all about embracing emotions, connecting with the music, and conveying a narrative through movement. Students will learn to express themselves through the art of dance, exploring the depths of their emotions and connecting with the audience on a profound level.
To ensure a focused and professional atmosphere, students are required to wear fitted dance bottoms and tops or a leotard and tights, along with appropriate lyrical shoes. Hair must be securely tied back to allow for maximum focus and movement, and no jewelry should be worn during class.
While not required, we highly recommend taking Lyrical in conjunction with Ballet. Ballet serves as the foundation for many dance styles, including Lyrical. By combining the two, students will further develop their technique, strength, and alignment, enhancing their overall dance abilities and artistry.
At Studio C, our experienced instructors create a supportive and nurturing environment where students can explore their creativity and grow as dancers. We emphasize proper technique, musicality, and storytelling, allowing students to develop their unique voice through movement.
Join us in our Lyrical class and watch as your dancer’s movements come to life, painting a beautiful picture that tells a story. Enroll today and let the magic of Lyrical dance captivate their hearts and ignite their passion for self-expression and artistic storytelling!

What is your attendance policy?
Students are expected to attend classes for which they are registered. If a student misses 4 consecutive classes without making formal arrangements with studio instructors and/or administration, his/her space will be forfeited in the class for the next month. Students with excessive absences will not be permitted to perform in our annual recital.
Are parents allowed to stay in class to watch?
“WATCH DAYS” will be the first full week in November and April. This is the lesson parents and visitors are welcome to view in class. Remember, this is your day to see your child’s progress.
Please do not disturb the class by visiting amongst yourselves. Turn the ringer on the phone down. Please keep your little ones seated and quiet. In other lessons, parents are asked to walk their child inside the building and then wait in the waiting room, run a quick errand, or treat themselves to a walk around the block! This enables the dance instructors to keep the attention of the students, as well as helps those who may be a little reluctant to feel more at ease.
